Sure to have taken plenty of benefit from his first-up run this time, Criterion will leave from the ideal barrier 3 with Michael Walker in the saddle.
Mongolian Khan was also unable to make much of an impact in his first-up start this time but will enjoy a step up to 2000m for the Ranvet Stakes and could very well receive the run of the race from barrier 4.

Chris Waller will launch a three-pronged attack on the Group 1 race after confirming all of Weary, Storm The Stars and Kool Kompany in the Ranvet Stakes field.
The United States has returned to racing in strong form this time and will be tough to beat over the 2000m of the Ranvet Stakes.
Finishing outside the first three only a handful of times through fifteen career starts so far, The United States finished second in the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) and won the Group 2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup (2500m) most notably in spring.
